Serco is seeking a Systems/Network Engineering Intern to join its Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) team. DMOC delivers secure connectivity and network interoperability between unique simulator platforms across the globe, allowing aircrews to train together in a high-fidelity virtual environment. This position is located on Kirtland AFB and is an on-site position.
This is a Part-Time opportunity during the 2026 Summer break (June - August 2026)
In this role, you will:
Assist in the development, testing, and maintenance of networks, operating systems and associated software.
Learn comprehensive cybersecurity test procedures
Support various Tier levels of system administration & customer support
Identify and document defects
Collaborate with team members on various projects

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A High School Diploma
Be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field ( Engineering, Information Technology, Modeling & Simulation, or Computer Science).
Sophmore and higher preferred.
Proficiency with PC and MS Office Suite
An active interim security clearance is required prior to starting.
One of the following certifications prior to start:
COMPTIA Security+
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
CompTIA SecurityX (Replacement for CASP+)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certification
