Do you love the idea of helping some of the world’s biggest and most innovative businesses build immersive and exciting digital experiences? As a Bloomreach Solutions Architect, you would be one of the trusted advisors of our high-energy, high-performance global pre-sales team, involved in multiple stages of the sales cycle. Your job would be to partner with our sales team, helping drive value for our customers by leading the technical aspects of our scoping and implementation efforts on Bloomreach’s rapidly growing Discovery platform. The Solutions Architect role involves maintaining a solid understanding of the Bloomreach product strategy, professional services offerings, and sales pipeline to identify opportunities where our services can bring business value to our customers and to identify where implementations will need deep requirements gathering.
Your role will require significant collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure our engagements are set up for success from the pre-sales cycle. Additionally, you will need to be hands-on with our customers - delivering these architecture services and working with our post-sales teams and our customers IT teams in making sure the requirements are met in a timeline manner. A strong customer orientation, exceptional collaboration skills and a solid technical background are key elements for success in this role. This role will define, execute and deliver on custom demos and proofs of concept (POCs) in support of sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
Be a subject matter expert for the Bloomreach Discovery platform for both technical and business audiences
Own all technical elements (technical discovery, demo prep, execute technical POCs) for Discovery sales cycle, from scoping and success criteria to hands-on setup, validation, analysis, and executive readouts.
Lead technical discovery and solution design: map requirements, design feasible integration approaches, and document a clear high-level architecture (HLD), with risks/assumptions and measurable outcomes.
Design and validate data flows for Discovery: catalog ingestion and modeling, event/pixel strategy, API usage patterns, caching/performance considerations, and search/relevance configuration guidance.
Partner with Solution Consultants to craft compelling technical narratives and tailored demos that align to customer KPIs, buying criteria, and MEDDPICC qualification.
Co-scope with agency/SI partners during presales: align roles and responsibilities, apply quality/peer-review gates, and ensure a clean handover to Services or partner delivery teams.
Drive excellent handoffs: package HLDs, scope/estimates, RACI, and risk/assumption logs for Services; remain engaged to de-risk delivery where needed.
Contribute reusable assets (templates, checklists, patterns) that speed future evaluations; mentor SCs on technical components of Discovery opportunities.
Support RFP/RFI/security questionnaires and handle technical objections with credibility and clarity.
Stay current on product and ecosystem capabilities; channel field feedback into product and delivery best practices.
The ideal candidate
Has a BS in Information Systems / Computer Science, or equivalent degree
Has 3+ years of Commerce experience (as a system integrator, in-house engineer, or in sales of a Commerce solution)
3+ years of experience in technical positions (software engineering, development, solution engineering) working in complex IT environments
Hands-on expertise in the following technologies: Java, PHP, Python, HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Expertise in commerce search and discovery, including indexing and feed pipelines, catalog/taxonomy design, facets/filters, boosting/re-ranking, and analytics-driven A/B testing.
