DevOps Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer)
Salary: $125,000–$170,000
Location: Hybrid - Beverly Hills, CA (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)
Travel: Initial training in Germany after hire, plus 3–4 trips to Germany per year
Eventim operates one of the world’s largest ticketing platforms, delivering seamless experiences during some of the most high-traffic events on the planet. As we are supporting the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games and other major global on-sales as a ticketing partner, we are expanding our Site Reliability Engineering and DevOps capabilities.
We're seeking a Site Reliability / DevOps Engineer who is passionate about automation, operational reliability, and collaborative problem-solving. You'll work closely with development teams to build scalable systems, enhance monitoring capabilities, and support reliability during high-traffic on-sale events where millions of fans compete for tickets in real-time. This role is ideal for someone eager to deepen their DevOps expertise while contributing meaningfully to a fast-paced, international engineering environment.
What You'll Do
Support development teams in achieving operational ownership consistent with a DevOps culture
Automate recurring tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible/SaltStack, and Git-based workflows
Contribute to deployment and operation of secure, scalable, and resilient applications supporting high-traffic ticket sales
Manage and maintain production environments: Linux, Windows, VMware, Proxmox, MSSQL, MariaDB
Collaborate with observability teams using Grafana and Zabbix for early problem detection and system health monitoring
Support F5 load balancing, NGINX, caching solutions (Memcached, Redis), and web servers (Apache, WildFly, Tomcat)
Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS environments to support containerized workloads.
Troubleshoot production incidents and participate in blameless post-mortems
Perform regularly scheduled maintenance with minimal service impact
Create and maintain operational runbooks, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing materials.
Partner with platform, security, and QA teams to maintain compliance, reliability, and quality standards.
Participate in rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 platform availability.
Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams across multiple continents
What You Bring
4–6 years of experience operating production-grade Linux environments
Hands-on experience with Ansible/SaltStack, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows (GitLab)
Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python for automation
Working knowledge of VMware virtualization, Promox, MSSQL, and MariaDB administration
Strong understanding of networking, security fundamentals, and cloud/on-premises infrastructure
Experience with monitoring platforms such as Grafana and Zabbix
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS environments
Basic understanding of web application servers (Apache, WildFly, Tomcat) and SQL
Experience with caching technologies, load balancing concepts, and logging systems
Curiosity, independence, and a strong problem-solving mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cultures and time zones
Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
