Overview

Our client is a UK-based aviation technology and consultancy business delivering digital systems for training, compliance, assurance and auditing. You’ll join a small, supportive agile team working across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and multiple digital products including a mobile app and public website.

This role is remote (UK) with occasional travel to Canterbury.

The Role

The client is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own and improve their AWS platform, CI/CD pipelines, security, reliability and cost efficiency as the business scales into new regions.

You’ll work closely with Developers, QA and the Technical Lead to enable fast, safe and auditable delivery through automation and strong cloud practices.

Key Responsibilities

Own and improve AWS infrastructure, security and reliability
Manage patching, access control, vulnerability management and secure SDLC tooling
Maintain and optimise TeamCity CI/CD pipelines and release automation
Improve MySQL performance, backups and data lifecycle management
Support multi-region growth with repeatable, automated patterns
Maintain monitoring, alerting, documentation and audit evidence

Required Experience

DevOps / Platform experience supporting .NET workloads in AWS
Strong Windows Server administration; PowerShell and Bash
CI/CD expertise (TeamCity, Jira)
AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Lambda
MySQL administration and tuning
Practical monitoring and alerting experience

Desirable

AWS certification
.NET Core deployments and blue/green or canary releases
Snyk, SonarCloud, Intruder or Sophos
Mobile CI/CD (e.g. Bitrise)
SSO / identity (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML)
DR and cost-optimised architectures
