Regional Sales Manager

About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to drive growth and lead field operations across Atlantic Canada and Quebec.

Based in either Halifax, Nova Scotia or Moncton, New Brunswick, you will be the key driver for achieving retail success in Atlantic Canada while directly managing and coaching our field sales team in Quebec.

Key Responsibilities

Territory Leadership (Atlantic Focus)
Retail Performance: Be the primary owner for "Do-It-Yourself" retailer performance across Atlantic Canada, focusing on achieving instore sales & merchandising targets.
Merchandising Oversight: Directly hire, train and manage the in-store seasonal Merchandiser and Counselor team within Atlantic Canada, ensuring best-in-class execution of merchandising standards and seasonal display strategies.
Inventory Optimization: Strategically manage inventory within the region to ensure optimal inventory levels, maximize product flow, and drive shipment growth.
Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and maintain trust-based relationships with key decision-makers at all levels

Team Management & Development (Quebec Focus)

Direct Leadership: Lead, coach, and motivate the Quebec Sales Manager team (direct reports), driving a sales culture through regular in-field store visits, performance reviews, and consistent communication.
Talent Management: Spearhead all talent initiatives for the team, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and continuous professional development.
Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety, ensuring all team members adhere strictly to company safety procedures and policies.

Business Operations & Administration

Financial: Manage budget for the territory and region, demonstrating a clear understanding of ROI and cost-effectiveness.
Reporting & Compliance: Meet all administrative, reporting, and company compliance requirements accurately and on time.

What You'll Bring to the Team

Proven Leadership: 2-4 years of field sales experience, with previous experience leading a team, preferably within the consumer products or retail sector.
Business Acumen: A demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales goals and objectives. Strong knowledge of retail operations and merchandising excellence.
Drive & Initiative: Possesses a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and comfort in taking proactive initiative.
Communication: Exceptional verbal, written communication, and professional presentation skills.
Tech Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Calendar) or equivalent office productivity suite.
Education: Post-secondary education or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Mobility: A valid driver’s license is required.
Fluent in both English and French (verbal and written) while not mandatory is a nice to have

Working Conditions & Travel

Schedule Flexibility: While the standard work week is 37.5 hours, flexibility is essential. Job demands require additional and/or extended hours as business dictates, particularly during the peak spring and summer seasons. Evenings and weekends will be required.
Travel: Regular travel (driving and flying) throughout the territory, including overnight stays, is required.
Physical: Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 60 lbs (27 kg), climb a ladder (up to 12 feet), and reach overhead to assist with merchandising.
