About The Job

We are seeking a talented Software Developer to join our IT team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications using Spring Framework and Angular, enhancing scalability and user experience. You will optimize high-volume data operations with Spring Batch and Talend ETL, ensuring accurate financial reporting and accruals. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations, minimizing service disruptions, and maintaining compliance, all while working in a collaborative, Agile environment.

This role reports to the Manager of IT Software Development.

Role Summary

As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with business partners and internal teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. You will design, develop, test, and deploy complex applications, guide junior team members, and contribute to the overall architecture and system enhancements. Your expertise in SQL and database management will ensure the integrity of our data, while your project leadership skills will help deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope.

As a Software Developer Specialist, You Will

Collaborate with management, business departments, and partners to identify end-user requirements.
Design, develop, test, debug, and deploy complex software programs, considering system limitations and performance standards.
Maintain and support production operations for large, multi-subsystem systems.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced analysts and programmers.
Lead projects or enhancements, including planning, scheduling, testing, and approving deployments.
Recommend process and performance improvements to management.
Participate in developing and customizing business systems infrastructure and IT standards.
Perform day-to-day application development tasks in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Other duties as assigned.

Measuring Your Momentum

First 90 Days – Getting Up To Speed:

Gain a solid understanding of MMNA business processes, Service and Warranty domains, organizational structure, and the overall Warranty system landscape.
Set up and configure development tools, environments, and code repositories; become familiar with build and deployment processes.
Begin supporting core Warranty and Service applications, handling simple Jira tickets and assisting with maintenance or bug fixes under guidance.
Learn key applications (MEPQR, PQR, TECHLINE, RECALL, PRC), batch jobs, and business rules, focusing on how they support operations.
Participate in one small enhancement or low-risk project, delivering code or testing contributions under mentorship.
Assist in creating or reviewing High-Level Designs or design documents to understand architectural principles and cloud modernization efforts.
Observe and assist in monitoring and troubleshooting batch jobs to understand high-volume ETL processes.

Year 1 Victory Lap

Independently participate or co-lead at least 3 requirement-gathering sessions and produce approved HLD and LLD documents for assigned features, including database design, API contracts, security considerations, and alignment with existing architecture standards.
Consistently provide development estimates within ±15% accuracy for assigned work and break initiatives into clearly defined sprint tasks that enable on-time delivery across at least 3 consecutive releases.
Independently manage production incidents for owned applications, including triage, root cause analysis, and implementation of fixes, resolving at least 90% of assigned incidents within SLA and documenting RCA findings in Jira.
Successfully submit and manage 100% of assigned Change Requests in ServiceNow and deliver tested, deployable artifacts (e.g., WAR/JAR, UI bundles) on time for scheduled change windows, coordinating effectively with
