Job Specifications

Contract: Initial 6 months

Location: Edinburgh (on-site once per sprint, flexibility under discussion)

Rate: 450 - 475, Inside of IR35

Overview

We're looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a high impact public sector Project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical services, working with modern technologies in a collaborative environment.

Key Requirements

Strong Java expertise (Java 21+, Spring 3).
Experience with NodeJS/Express, MongoDB, and AWS Cloud.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI), Docker, and Git.
Familiarity with Apache Kafka, microservices, and containerisation.
Prior government project experience highly desirable.
