Job Specifications

IMPORTANT: This position is office based for our office in Birkirkara, Malta.

We can provide relocation assistance if you're outside of the city or country.

As a Data Product Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of data products that drive key business decisions and strategies. You will lead a team of data product owners to ensure the successful implementation of data solutions that align with the company’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data product owners;
Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment;
Provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations.

Product Management:

Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data products;
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data product needs and prioritize features;
Ensure data products meet business objectives and user needs.

Project Management:

Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of data projects;
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget;
Manage project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Act as the primary point of contact for data product-related inquiries;
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executives;
Gather and incorporate feedback to enhance data products.

Performance Monitoring:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for data products;
Monitor and report on the performance of data products;
Implement improvements based on performance data.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in data product management, BI, or data analytics;
3+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead role;
Strong leadership and team management skills;
Excellent project management and organizational skills;
Familiarity with data warehousing, ETL processes, SQL and PowerBI;
Strong understanding of data governance and data security best practices;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Strong Team Player;
Very good written and spoken English.
