Job Specifications

Job Title: Cloud & DevOps Lead

Location: Remote (with occasional London office travel as required)

Salary: £80-90,000 per annum

Clearance: Active SC Clearance

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud & DevOps Lead to join an expanding public sector consultancy. This role will provide technical leadership across cloud and DevOps initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Azure DevOps and maximising Microsoft Azure exposure across projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of Azure-based cloud and DevOps solutions
Drive best practices across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automation using Azure DevOps
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to DevOps and cloud engineers
Collaborate with public sector clients to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient cloud platforms
Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, and public sector standards

Key Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards, and release management)
Extensive experience working within Microsoft Azure environments
Proven leadership experience within Cloud and/or DevOps teams
Strong understanding of cloud security, governance, and automation
Experience working on public sector projects and holding active SC clearance
This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role in high-impact public sector programmes while working remotely, with flexibility and occasional office travel as required.
