IT Risk/GRC Specialist:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for an IT Risk/GRC Specialist for a 6-month role (possible extension/conversion). This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto, Ontario office.

Job Description:

This role involves providing governance, risk, compliance, and issue remediation oversight within bank’s Platforms & Technology Governance strategy. The candidate will work on both project and day-to-day tasks, contributing to the development of mature Governance Oversight & Control practices and leveraging new tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Lead assessments of audit and regulatory finding remediations

• Provide advice and guidance on IT Risk Governance Control Frameworks

• Contribute to improving Risk Identification, Control Design, and Operating Effectiveness

• Identify emerging themes and provide specialized business management advice

• Lead continuous improvement projects using AI, ML, Power BI/Apps, Python, etc.

• Collaborate with stakeholders across the three lines of defense

Mandatory Skills:

• 10+ years as an IT Risk Specialist with relevant experience in governance, risk and compliance management

• IT audit - IT Governance Controls and Standards

• AI experience

• Very strong communication skills – written and verbal

• IT governance experience in information security and controls risk frameworks

• Experience with evaluation of audit and regulatory remediation

• Team player – collaborate well with other team members

• Attention to detail

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• 6sigma

• CRISC, CISA CISSP certification or equivalent experience
