About Us

First impressions matter. TaskRay is on a mission to ensure businesses get off to a great start with a flawless customer experience once the opportunity is marked Closed Won. TaskRay is the leader in post-sale work management in the Salesforce ecosystem. We help companies make the transition from sales to customer success frictionless, driving greater efficiencies and creating unmatched customer experiences – all within Salesforce.

Culture is at the heart of TaskRay. We look for team members who share our values and bring them to life in their own ways. If these resonate with you, TaskRay could be the place for you:

Connection. Cultivate authentic connections with customers, partners, and each other. We believe in a customer-first mindset across everything we do, continuously learning and focusing on the ‘We’ rather than the ‘I’.

Integrity. We are transparent, sharing information and feedback freely. We infuse every action with honesty, fairness, and respect for customers and colleagues alike. We do the right thing, even when no one is watching.

Hunger. We have high expectations and expect high performance of ourselves and our teams. We constantly look to innovate and improve, unleashing our creativity and persistence to find solutions and deliver exceptional results.

Thrive. We love what we do and bring our best selves to work every day. We show up as real human beings who speak from the heart, value others’ contributions and invest in each other’s growth.

The Role

We’re looking for a VP of Engineering to join our leadership team and help shape the technical future of TaskRay. In this role, you’ll own engineering execution and technical strategy while building a healthy, scalable, and high-performing engineering organization. You’ll partner closely with Product and go-to-market leaders to ensure we’re delivering the right solutions with the right architecture, securely, reliably, and at scale. You’ll be accountable for how work gets done, how teams are structured, and how engineering contributes to company strategy. You’ll also play a key role in evolving our Salesforce-native architecture and thoughtfully leveraging AI to improve both the product and how engineering operates.

What you’ll do:

Serve on the executive leadership team to shape the long-term vision and strategy of TaskRay, representing engineering priorities, risks, and opportunities
Own engineering execution and delivery across multiple product workstreams, balancing roadmap commitments with architectural integrity, dependencies, and team capacity
Partner closely with Product and other executive peers to translate company and product strategy into technical direction, delivery plans, and resourcing decisions
Establish and evolve engineering operating rhythms (planning, sprint cycles, release management) to enable predictable, high-quality, and continuous delivery in a Salesforce-native architecture
Drive improvements in engineering effectiveness, including delivery predictability, quality, system reliability, and team health (not just sprint velocity)
Set technical direction and guardrails for the platform, including architecture, scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability
Collaborate with Product to evaluate AI-related product opportunities from feasibility, architecture, and risk perspectives
Champion the responsible adoption of AI-assisted development practices (e.g., code generation, testing, documentation) to improve productivity and developer experience
Build, scale, and retain a high-performing engineering organization by defining team structure, hiring plans, career paths, and leadership development
Coach and develop engineering leaders and team members through regular feedback, performance reviews, and mentorship
Advocate for engineering excellence, including technical documentation, proactive management of technical debt, and continuous improvement of tooling and development practices
Ensure engineering practices meet Salesforce ISV requirements and customer expectations around security, compliance, and data privacy
Roll up your sleeves when needed to unblock teams, guide critical technical decisions, or support high-impact releases

What you bring to the table:

B2B SaaS engineering leadership: Proven experience leading engineering execution and technical strategy in a B2B SaaS environment; Salesforce ecosystem and ISV experience required
People leadership & scaling: Track record of building, scaling, and developing engineering teams in mid-sized companies (25–200 employees)
Salesforce platform expertise: Deep familiarity with the Salesforce Platform and ISV development model, including Apex, LWC, packaging, and platform constraints
Technical depth & application architecture: Strong hands-on background designing and scaling modern, customer-facing applications, with experience across system architecture and front-end technologies (React, JavaScript, TypeScript)
Strong decision-maker: Ability to make s
