This is a hands-on engineering role involving installation, servicing, fault-finding and maintenance of fire alarm systems, alongside intruder alarms and access control systems.

The majority of work is based in Plymouth and the surrounding areas, with occasional travel further afield when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation, servicing and maintenance of fire alarm systems

• Fault-finding and repairs across fire, intruder and access control systems

• Working on intruder alarm systems including wired and wireless platforms

• Access control installation and maintenance

• Completing clear, accurate job reports and documentation

• Liaising professionally with customers on site

• Ensuring all works are completed to relevant British Standards and company expectations

Experience with some (not necessarily all) of the following is desirable:

• Orisec

• Texecom

• Pyronix

• Ajax

• Dahua

• Hikvision

• Paxton

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer (essential)

• Good understanding of UK fire and security standards

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

• Professional, customer-focused approach

• Full UK driving licence

• Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team

What We Offer

• Competitive salary (dependent on experience)

• Company vehicle, tools and uniform

• Local work with minimal long-distance travel

• Ongoing training and manufacturer exposure

• A supportive, growing company where quality comes first

• Opportunity to grow with the business as we expand
