Job Specifications

Data Ops Engineer - £400PD - remote

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines supporting CI/CD across cloud and data platforms.
Build and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Support and optimise Azure networking and security, including identity, access management, and secure connectivity.
Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
Collaborate with data teams to support Snowflake and other data platforms, ensuring reliability, performance, and security.
Implement and maintain observability and monitoring solutions, including logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response.
Enable and improve self-service capabilities for BI and analytics platforms, empowering users while maintaining governance and security.
Work closely with engineering, data, and BI teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and developer experience.
Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD best practices.
Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Solid understanding of Azure networking, security, and cloud architecture.
Experience with containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
Exposure to Snowflake or other modern data platforms.
Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Ability to design platforms that balance self-service, governance, and security.
Nice to Have

Experience supporting BI tools and analytics platforms (eg Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with SRE or platform engineering practices.
Experience working in agile or DevOps-oriented teams.
