Head of Information Security Governance (Deputy CISO)

Location: Reading

Rate: £121.77 Umbrella

Duration: 6-12 months initially

Working Arrangements: Full time on site

Clearance: Full SC Clearance but DV would be a nice to have

Security Requirements: Due to the nature of the programme, this role is restricted to sole UK nationals.

The Role

We are seeking a senior cyber security leader to join as Head of Information Security Governance (Deputy CISO). You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering cyber security strategy across high-assurance digital engineering and international collaboration environments.

Key Responsibilities

Lead elements of the JV cyber security strategy and governance framework
Drive a threat-led, secure-by-design approach
Lead cyber policy and incident response activities
Ensure cyber security is embedded across all project lifecycles
Act as a senior advocate for cyber security across the business
Build strong internal and external industry relationships

About You

Proven senior leadership experience in cyber security
Strong stakeholder management at executive level
Experience leading distributed, multinational teams
Ability to operate in complex, regulated environments

Qualifications:

ChCSP (or working towards) desirable
CISSP, CISA or similar beneficial
Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field
