DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Software Tester/QA Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking a resource experienced in using the regression testing tool OUTA to assist the Department in regression testing activities associated with a new Oracle cloud-based billing system, CCS.

They are implementing a new cloud-based billing system - Oracle CCS. The system has additional configurations outside of base functionality and code. Additionally, the system interfaces and is integrated with other 3rd party applications. The resource is responsible for all regression testing and release management activities associated with the non-base functionality of the application, as well as the integrated/interfaced 3rd party applications. They are seeking a resource with experience with regression testing, specifically using the OUTA tool, with Oracles CCS system knowledge. The resource with lead regression testing activities to include, but not limited to, creation and execution of test scripts for regression testing. Resource will be paired with a business SME to assist in the business process scenarios for testing, development and execution.

Resource will also act as a mentor who will be assigned to and shadow during testing preparation and execution to learn how OUTA functions to gain skills and competency in the tools use. The intent is to have the internal resources learn hands-on with the tool to become comfortable and competent to take over the roles and responsibilities of regression testing at a later date. It is not yet known when the date that transition will occur, as it is dependent upon the time that can be allocated to shadowing an external resource, as well as the time frame required to learn the tool in a manner sufficient to assume ownership of its use.

Job Duties:

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Oracle Utilities Testing Accelerator (OUTA) for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of Oracle Utilities Customer Cloud Services (CCS).
Design reusable test assets and templates within the OUTA framework - including XML configuration files, data setup scripts, and test component definitions.
Implement and customize Groovy scripts within OUTA to handle dynamic data, validations, and conditional business logic.
Integrate OUTA with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps), for automated regression execution and continuous delivery.
Perform data-driven testing by parameterizing input datasets to simulate real-world utility scenarios, including business process scenarios for billing, payments, meter reads, adjustments, collections etc.,
Develop validation logic for UI screens, REST/SOAP web services, and integration endpoints within Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
Generate and analyze execution reports from OUTA logs, identify failed cases, and provide root cause analysis for failures.
Collaborate with QA leads, functional testers, and developers to align automation scope with deliverables and release timelines.
Maintain test repositories and version control, ensuring proper branching and change tracking for automation assets.
Provide knowledge transfer and training to QA teams and internal resources on OUTA framework usage, best practices, and reporting mechanisms.
Support Oracle patch and upgrade testing (CCS Upgrades) using automation to validate regression stability.

Required Skills:

3 Years - Strong experience with OUTA, Groovy, Java, and XML.
3 Years - Hands-on knowledge of Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
3 Years - Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CCS Database Actions, SQL.
3 Years - Hands-on knowledge of OIC.
3 Years - Hands-on experience with Oracle CCS.
