Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Junior Software Engineer to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in Canada(Remote).

Contract

Experience & Technologies: Minimum 5+ years experience with deep expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js.

AWS & Cloud Infrastructure: Mandatory hands-on experience with core AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.) and using CDK/SAM for infrastructure-as-code.

Development Practices: Strong grasp of design patterns, refactoring, unit testing best practices, and proficiency with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).

Testing & Operations: Required experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Jest, wdio) and participation in an on-call rotation covering 8 am EST - 5 pm PST.

Bonus Skills: Nice-to-have experience includes LambdaTest, New Relic, Docker/Kubernetes, event-driven architecture, and exposure to financial services/mortgage tech.
