KPMG Deals and Strategy is a 70 FTE strong team that offers integrated advice to its clients in the context of transactions ((Integrated) Due Diligence, M&A, Valuations and Financing) or corporate transformations (Strategy). As such, we position ourselves as the “Transaction to Transformation” advisors leveraging where relevant the full scope of KPMG capabilities to our clients, typically large and mid-sized Belgian companies and Private Equity firms.

The Strategy team at KPMG Belgium is currently seeking to expand and build on its current strategy development and commercial experience. You will be part of a team that advises executive clients in addressing key strategic issues and help them by providing insights and answers on how to position themselves in the market and assist them in what it takes to be successful. In this role, you will be expected to create high-quality, impactful deliverables tailored to engagement objectives and client needs, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Manager in the Strategy team you will perform the following tasks:
Working closely with C-suite executives from different industries to navigate complex strategy engagements, solve enterprise-wide strategic, organizational and operational issues & improvements and identify growth opportunities;
Lead clients’ engagements and support them in determining their strategies and approaches to identify the most relevant initiatives and projects to execute according to their needs;
Managing the clients’ engagements from start to finish, including setting scopes, budgets, staffing resources, creating and coordinating final deliverables, and assisting with presentation of results;
You will also play a pivotal role in driving and developing the team’s business development activities, supporting its growth and the expansion of its service offerings;
Manage and mentor junior staff throughout the project lifecycle, providing feedback and fostering a culture of collaboration.
Skills & Qualifications
You have successfully obtained a Masters degree and have a minimum of five years’ work experience in strategy & management consulting firm or within corporate environments with a focus on operational optimization and strategy (Strategy definition, cost optimization, transformation management, strategic portfolio management, etc.) in either but not limited to Consumer & Retail, Construction & Building Materials, Industrial Markets and Transport & Logistics.
Apart from a strong technical basis we are looking for people who have the following qualifications, expertise, and skills:
Proven track record in dealing with (large) Strategic and Performance Transformations;
Excellent project management and business development skills;
In-depth knowledge and experience in the mentioned industries;
Experience in leading a diverse team and managing complex projects;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to interpret data, generate insights and construct solutions;
Ability to perform and deliver consistently against tight deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detail;
You are clear and concise in your communication skills, and able to engage effectively with both clients and team members, and have strong presentation skills;
You confidently navigate AI topics and are able to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders, make ethically sound decisions and adapt to evolving technologies.
