Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)

Contract: Freelance

About the assignment

For a client based in Brussels, we are looking for a Cloud Architect to support the daily evolution of their cloud platforms. The focus of this role is on building clear, stable and secure cloud setups that teams can easily work with.

You will join an environment where cloud is already in use, but where there is still plenty of room to improve structure, automation and consistency.

What you’ll be working on

In this role, you won’t just design solutions on paper. You will work closely with technical teams to make sure cloud environments are practical, understandable and ready for day-to-day operations.

Your work will include:

Helping shape cloud environments that are easy to manage and scale
Reviewing existing setups and suggesting improvements
Supporting teams with decisions around compute, storage, networking and security
Assisting with automation and Infrastructure as Code where needed
Working together with operations and security teams on stability, monitoring and access control
Making sure cloud solutions remain compliant and well-documented
Acting as a go-to person for cloud-related questions

Who we’re looking for

You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you are comfortable working with cloud technology and understand the basics of how cloud platforms are used in practice. You enjoy helping teams move forward and explaining technical topics in a clear and simple way.

A plus:

Experience in the financial sector or regulated environments
Exposure to automation, CI/CD pipelines or Infrastructure as Code
Familiarity with hybrid cloud setups or cloud migrations
