Embedded Software Engineer– Hampshire – 6 Month Contract (37.5 hours per week) - £740 - £772 per day (Inside IR35) – SC Clearance

Working Patterns and location – This is a hybrid role with 3 days on site per week.

The Key Responsibilities of a Embedded Software Engineer:

Design and deliver high-performance real-time systems.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and apply them effectively within projects.
Contribute to the development of our client’s Electronic Warfare software suite, creating new capabilities across a wide range of projects, including array processing, communications, and sensor systems.

Below is a list of Key Skills required for a Embedded Software Engineer, however you will not be expected to have everything:

Strong proficiency in C and/or C++ for embedded software development.
Proven experience in both unit testing and system-level testing.
In-depth knowledge of embedded Linux platform development.
Familiarity with modern DevOps methodologies, including version control systems and continuous integration pipelines.
Up-to-date knowledge of the latest System-on-Chip (SoC) technologies.

The client would also like to see some of the below, but this is not essential:

Strong expertise in the design and implementation of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms.
Experience in modelling and simulating algorithms using MATLAB.
Proven capability in FPGA firmware development using VHDL.
Familiarity with the latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms and technologies.
A solid understanding of electronic warfare concepts and applications.
