About The Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-grade infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You’ll be part of a collaborative, Agile team that focuses on automation, scalability, and reliability across our middleware and application environments.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving challenging problems, and is passionate about modern DevOps practices such as Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), container orchestration, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation: Develop conceptual, logical, and physical infrastructure designs that align with business requirements.
Cloud & Containerization: Build and manage scalable environments leveraging AWS services — especially EKS and other container-based technologies.
Infrastructure as Code: Use Terraform, Ansible, and Packer to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and image creation.
Automation & Deployment: Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab (or similar tools) to support streamlined code integration and delivery.
System Reliability: Resolve complex hardware and software issues affecting application systems; proactively recommend solutions to minimize downtime.
Change & Risk Management: Follow established change management and audit policies; ensure compliance with security and operational standards.
Collaboration & Leadership: Contribute to moderately complex projects, mentor peers, and help define and uphold technical standards and best practices.
Testing & Transition: Prepare testing strategies and oversee smooth implementation and transition into production environments.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience working with AWS (EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, etc.)
Strong proficiency with Agile methodologies, GitLab, and CI/CD tools
Skilled in Terraform and other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) technologies
Experienced with Ansible Automation and general scripting/automation tools
Hands-on experience using Packer (or similar tools) to build VM images
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues
Strong analytical and documentation skills for system logic and design
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
