Our client, a global investment management firm based in New York, NY, is hiring for a newly created position focused on building and productionizing AI solutions that materially improve investment and enterprise workflows. This role will partner closely with investment and research stakeholders and sit within IT, reporting into an MD-level leader with direct exposure to the CIO and Head of Research. There is meaningful opportunity to help shape and scale the function over time, particularly on the investment-facing side. Candidates must have 5+ years in software/ML, including 2+ years building LLM solutions.

Responsibilities Include:

Build and productionize AI systems that enhance investment and broader enterprise workflows
Partner heavily with investment and research teams to identify high-impact use cases and deliver solutions
Develop LLM-driven applications and tools, including chatbot-style experiences and workflow automation
Integrate internal and external data sources via APIs and deliver scalable, secure solutions on Azure
Support the long-term growth of the AI capability, especially around investment-focused solutions

Requirements Include:

5+ years of experience in investment management or asset management (required)
5+ years in software engineering and/or machine learning, including 2+ years building LLM-based solutions (core requirement)
Microsoft Power Platform experience (Power Apps, Power BI)
Experience within the OpenAI ecosystem (any of the following: ChatGPT Enterprise, Azure OpenAI, GPT APIs, Custom GPTs)
Strong SQL skills
