Product Owner – Finance Systems
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Product Owner with a strong background in finance applications to drive the evolution of critical business systems. This role combines systems analysis, administration, and process improvement, making it ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and finance. Candidates with direct experience in Workday and Adaptive Planning are especially encouraged to apply, though those with Workday HRIS expertise in a finance context will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of ownership for finance-related applications, ensuring smooth operation and alignment with business goals.
Oversee system administration tasks including user access, configuration, and security controls.
Collaborate with stakeholders to map and refine business processes, identifying areas for efficiency and automation.
Manage and support integrations, including monitoring and troubleshooting integration queues.
Handle daily support tickets, resolving issues in a timely manner (experience with ServiceNow is an advantage).
Define and implement system enhancements and continuous improvements to better serve end-users.
Design, build, and maintain reporting solutions that enable data-driven decision-making for finance and business teams.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure system changes align with both operational and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Hands-on experience supporting finance applications, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with Workday and Adaptive Planning in a financial environment.
Solid understanding of system integrations, security models, and administration tasks.
Proven ability to analyze, document, and optimize business processes.
Experience managing support requests and daily system operations; familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
Prior involvement in Adaptive Planning within a finance context.
Experience with Workday HRIS in a finance-related role may also be considered.
Background in finance or accounting systems administration and reporting.
