General Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to monitor security measures for the protection of computer networks and information. This position will assure that information created, acquired or maintained by Pioneer will be used in accordance with its intended purpose, to protect Pioneer information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats; and assure the company complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security and privacy.

This position reports to Kingfisher, OK in person daily.

Essential Job Functions

Develops ongoing education and training materials on information security and privacy matters for employees.
Ensures authorized access by investigating improper access; revoking access; reporting violations; monitoring information requests by new programming; recommending improvements.
Recommends updates to Pioneer's information security policies, standards and procedures company-wide.
Maintains vulnerability information on all Pioneer systems and coordinates remediation with responsible departments.
Responds to IDS system alerts that could indicate a security risk.
Stays abreast of the latest security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories, alerts and vulnerabilities.
Exemplifies dependability standards through adherence to timelines and schedules.
Develops and maintains positive working relationships within the department and other departments.
Commits to performing job tasks in a manner that ensures a safe work environment.
Willingly and cooperatively performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

College student finishing Junior or Senior year majoring in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Management or related field

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Strong working knowledge of and experience in policy and regulatory environment of information security.
Excellent project management and analytical skills.
Problem solving and resolution skills.
Ability to prioritize, organize and work on multiple projects.
Strong knowledge and understanding of company products/services, policies and procedures.
Strong presentation, verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
Proficient in operating a personal computer and software applications pertaining to job function.
Ability to work in a distributed team environment.
Ability to read and interpret various formats of English language instruction.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality guidelines in accordance with company policy.

Physical Requirements

Sitting or standing for extended periods, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity including close vision.
Ability to look at a computer screen for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
May be required occasionally to stoop, kneel or bend.
