Summary

Our client is seeking an Information Security Engineer to support the design, implementation, and ongoing management of their enterprise security controls. This role will evaluate system security, monitor operational effectiveness, and provide day-to-day support across security and technology functions to protect organizational assets and data.

Responsibilities

Analyze, implement, test, and maintain information security technologies and controls.
Perform security assessments to evaluate system performance and determine control effectiveness.
Support core security operations processes including malware response, log management, and vulnerability management.
Monitor, track, and report on metrics generated through Security Program activities.
Evaluate security risks within new and existing applications, software, and utility programs.
Provide actionable recommendations to strengthen security posture and reduce risk exposure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support broader technology and security initiatives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
3-5 years of experience in information security or related technology roles.
Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across all organizational levels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred

Experience within financial services environments.

This is a 6-month Contract-to-hire opportunity with our Overland Park, KS client. Employee benefits include Medical/Dental Benefits, Paid time off, Paid Holidays, and 401(k). H1-B Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. No third-parties, please.
