Job Title: SAP Security Consultant

Location: Toronto, ON (3x onsite a week)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Rate: CAD$60 - $70/HR INC

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Security Consultant with extensive experience in SAP Security Administration to join our Cybersecurity / Enterprise Security team.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP security protocols, risk management, and compliance requirements.

This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of our SAP environments, safeguarding sensitive data, and supporting our organization’s cybersecurity initiatives.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage SAP security roles and authorizations to ensure compliance with internal and external security standards.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits of SAP systems to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define security requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Monitor and respond to security incidents, providing timely resolution and reporting to stakeholders.
Develop and maintain documentation related to SAP security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Provide training and support to end users and IT staff on SAP security protocols and tools.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats related to SAP security and cybersecurity in general.

Mandatory Skills

Strong expertise in SAP Security Administration, including role design, authorization management, and user provisioning.
In depth knowledge of SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) solutions.
Experience with SAP security tools and methodologies, including risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Proficient in SAP system architecture and security best practices.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with other cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
Experience with SAP S/4HANA security and cloud security practices.
Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) solutions.
Certifications in SAP Security or related fields (e.g., CISM, CISSP) are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
7 - 10 years of experience in SAP Security Administration or a related role.
Proven track record of successfully managing SAP security projects and initiatives.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
