Job Title: Project Support Officer (PSO)

Duration: 3 months

Location: London or Leeds (2–3 days per week in office; ideally 2 days)

Job Purpose

The PSO will work within the ICDS PMO, supporting Project Managers with governance and control activities, including financial management, procurement, planning, reporting, and stage gate preparation.

This junior role provides exposure to portfolio and project management, offering substantial opportunities to develop skills and grow within the change delivery discipline. Support and guidance will be readily available.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate project financials, including forecasts and actuals

• Support financial requests (e.g., ITAFs) and fund drawdowns

• Raise, track, and report on POs

• Prepare documentation and evidence for stage gate assessments

• Create and maintain milestone plans; update weekly checkpoint reports

• Prepare PMB/SteerCo packs and presentation decks

• General administrative support: arranging meetings, taking minutes, etc.

• Strong self-management and time management skills

• Ability to prioritise effectively and recognise urgent tasks

• Proactive attitude with the ability to drive own workload

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Confident in raising issues, concerns, or seeking help when needed

• Team player with a willingness to learn and support others

• Any technical knowledge (IT, project, financial, administrative) is beneficial but not essential
