Senior Functional Analyst / Dynamics 365 Developer
Toronto or Mississauga (Hybrid | 3 Days Onsite)
About the Role
We’re seeking a Functional Analyst / Developer to lead the design, configuration, and ongoing optimization of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. This is not a standard analyst or developer role — we’re looking for a solutionist who can bridge business needs with technical delivery, design creative solutions, and drive enhancements across key workflows in post-sales operations, customer delivery, and field service.
You’ll partner closely with our Senior Product Owner, IT, Sales, Implementation, and Revenue Operations teams to build scalable, data-driven, and user-friendly solutions across Dynamics 365 and the broader revenue tech ecosystem — including Salesforce and our data warehouse.
What You’ll Do
Lead the development and solutioning side of Dynamics 365 within a cloud-based environment, focusing on Field Service and Project Operations modules.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, understand roadmaps, and translate them into functional specifications and technical configurations.
Configure and extend D365 CRM, including workflows, business rules, forms, views, and custom entities.
Build automations and integrations using Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Logic Apps to support business processes and improve productivity.
Design and develop custom plugins, workflows, and actions using C#, ensuring maintainable and scalable implementations.
Support integration points between Dynamics 365, Salesforce, financial systems, and internal APIs using secure and efficient methods.
Work closely with a lean, high-performing team to manage priorities, implement solutions, and deliver on business outcomes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in both production and non-production environments; identify root causes and implement sustainable fixes.
Document solution designs, configurations, and data flows, ensuring transparency and repeatability.
Support UAT, training, and change management activities across business users.
What We’re Looking For
4+ years of hands-on experience as a Dynamics 365 Functional Analyst or Developer, with deep expertise in configuration, customization, and extending the platform.
Proven experience in Field Operations and Project Operations within D365.
Strong solution design skills — ability to approach problems with a strategic mindset, not just follow prescribed steps.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse) and deployment tools (Logic Apps, Power Automate, custom plug-ins).
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar).
Experience working with APIs, RESTful services, FetchXML, and OData for data integration.
Familiarity with JavaScript, C#, or Liquid templates for Dynamics extensibility scenarios.
Strong understanding of CRM best practices, data integrity, and user-centric design.
Experience working in Agile environments — comfortable with user story grooming, sprint delivery, and retrospectives.
Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
