Job Summary
GDOT is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role is critical in enhancing IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) capabilities across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, ensure system integrations run smoothly, and drive continuous improvement through best practices.
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence on the first day and onsite attendance on an as-needed basis.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, and integrations
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine requirements
Customize ServiceNow modules to align with organizational processes and best practices
Develop and support integrations using REST and SOAP APIs
Perform troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of platform issues
Configure and support Service Mapping, Discovery, and Event Management to enhance IT operations
Conduct code reviews and participate in solution design discussions
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and ServiceNow best practices
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, system designs, and user guides
Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Stay current with ServiceNow releases, features, and industry trends

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development and administration experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, ServiceNow APIs, HTML, and CSS
In-depth understanding of ITSM and ITOM workflows, automation, and best practices
Proven experience with ServiceNow modules including:
ITSM (IT Service Management)
CSM (Customer Service Management / PSDS)
HAM (Hardware Asset Management)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
