Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our analytics team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to derive actionable insights from large datasets and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring onsite presence as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and machine learning solutions
Perform data cleansing, validation, and feature engineering
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into analytical solutions
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively
Optimize and maintain existing models for performance and scalability
Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to support business initiatives
Document methodologies, models, and processes for knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
10+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytics role
Strong proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases
Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistics, and data modeling
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Knowledge of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
Experience deploying models into production environments
Familiarity with MLOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
