Duration: Contract through August 31, 2026

Job Summary
We are seeking a Network Security Analyst I to support ongoing cybersecurity initiatives by protecting enterprise networks and information systems. This role focuses on monitoring, analyzing, and strengthening security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, supporting risk reduction efforts, and maintaining security tools and documentation.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, strong analytical and documentation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor network traffic, system logs, and security alerts to identify suspicious or unusual activity
Evaluate existing cybersecurity tools and controls to identify gaps and recommend risk mitigation strategies
Assist with installation, administration, patching, and troubleshooting of security software and hardware
Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of network security controls
Investigate security incidents and assist with remediation and prevention efforts
Develop and maintain documentation such as project plans, status reports, briefings, and presentations
Participate in research, interviews, meetings, and workshops to understand organizational security needs
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve security issues
Edit and maintain technical documentation for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
Provide regular progress updates and reporting as required
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience evaluating cybersecurity tools, controls, and risk mitigation strategies
Experience preparing and presenting technical documentation, reports, and stakeholder communications
Strong ability to gather requirements through research, interviews, meetings, and workshops
Experience working with diverse stakeholders to resolve complex security issues
Basic project management experience, including task tracking, risk management, and communications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail in documentation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or security operations
Experience with enterprise cybersecurity programs and risk management initiatives
Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement experience
Work Environment & Additional Details
Onsite position in Austin, TX (no remote work)
Local candidates only (must reside within a 50-mile radius)
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required
Travel, parking, and related expenses are the responsibility of the worker/vendor
Background check may be required
