We are supporting a values-led, systems-change organisation to appoint a Governance and Coordination Lead at a pivotal moment in its evolution.

Operating within a collective leadership model, this small and agile organisation is committed to social justice, power-shifting and reimagining how resources are stewarded in service of life-affirming work. The Governance and Coordination Lead will play a central role in ensuring the organisation is well-governed, connected and able to deliver its strategic intention through to completion and closure.

Working closely with the Collective Leadership Team and the Board, this role will ensure a coherent and enabling approach to governance across the Board, executive leadership and a community-led practitioner space. A core focus will be supporting trustees, ensuring they have the assurance, advice and information they need to fulfil their legal and strategic responsibilities, while maintaining a governance approach that enables innovation, shared leadership and systems change rather than constraining it. You will bring deep experience of charity governance and risk, alongside strong facilitation skills and emotional intelligence. You will be values-led, committed to social and racial justice, comfortable working in ambiguity, and motivated by collective rather than hierarchical leadership. This role will suit someone who is risk-aware but not risk-averse, highly organised, and able to act as connective tissue across people, ideas and structures.

This is a rare opportunity to help shape how collective leadership and governance are practised in real time within an organisation undertaking ambitious and radical work.

Our client recognises that diversity is absolutely at the heart of its work, so actively encourages applications from people from marginalised communities and from people with lived experience of poverty and multiple disadvantage.
