ROLE OVERVIEW
The Inside & Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving distributor-focused sales growth across Toronto and Canada while maintaining disciplined account management and execution.
This role combines inside sales execution (account management, pricing, follow-ups, forecasting) with outside sales activity (on-site distributor visits, relationship development, and business expansion). The position requires a proven sales professional with experience operating inside structured, large corporate environments.
You will manage key distributor relationships, develop new accounts, and ensure consistent revenue growth across Salex.ca’s absorbent and wiping product lines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Execution
Execute national and regional sales strategies aligned with company revenue, margin, and growth targets.
Drive consistent sales growth across rags, microfibers, spill kits, and absorbent product categories.
Manage pricing, quoting, contract discussions, and volume-based programs with distributor partners.
Distributor Account Management
Build, maintain, and expand long-term relationships with distributors and key decision-makers.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high service levels and repeat business.
Conduct regular account reviews to identify growth opportunities, product expansion, and performance gaps.
Inside Sales Operations
Manage inbound and outbound sales activity including follow-ups, order coordination, and pipeline management.
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and customer documentation.
Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and performance reports.
Outside Sales & Field Activity
Conduct in-person distributor visits across Ontario and Canada to support account growth and relationship development.
Present product lines, new offerings, and value propositions to distributor sales and purchasing teams.
Support distributor onboarding, product training, and sales enablement initiatives.
Market & Product Insight
Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and distributor feedback.
Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and potential distributor partners.
Support new product introductions and coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful market adoption.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, procurement, and customer service to ensure reliable product supply and execution.
Communicate customer needs and market insights to support inventory planning and product development.
Ensure alignment between sales commitments and operational capabilities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 6 years of B2B sales experience within corporations or structured sales organizations.
Proven success selling to distributors, wholesalers, or industrial supply channels.
Experience with industrial consumables such as wiping rags, absorbents, janitorial, safety, or MRO products strongly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a disciplined, process-driven environment.
Strong negotiation, relationship management, and account development skills.
Ability to analyze sales performance, forecast demand, and manage complex account portfolios.
Proficiency with CRM systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
Post-secondary education in Business, procurement, Sales, or a related field preferred.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Canada as required.
