Job Specifications

Cognizant is looking for an DevOps Engineer with extensive technical skills delivering automation in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. The DevOps Engineer will work with the Application Development, Architecture and Cloud Engineering teams to deliver highly automated solutions.

The DevOps Engineer will ensure the technical implementation of application and infrastructure deployment pipelines that are strongly aligned with the core business strategy using PowerShell and PowerScript and Azure DevOps. You will provide insights and strategic direction towards the adoption of the latest cloud technology and services focusing on PaaS, IaaS, IaC and containerization in the Azure cloud.

Responsibilities

Creation of Azure DevOps deployment and release pipelines.
Automation experience with Powershell & Power scripts and Azure DevOps
Experience in leveraging CI/CD tools to automate deployment and use of Git
Experience working in an Agile and fast-paced environment
Support internal and external customers on multiple deployment requirements
Collaborate with application and development teams to create automated release solutions.
Perform analysis of current environment to identify deficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Ensures solutions fit strategically in the overall infrastructure architecture and meet existing technology standards.
Work with stakeholders to establish governance, ensuring infrastructure architecture standards are implemented successfully
Recommend solutions and collaborate with the operations teams to develop processes to implement changes.
Research and design new infrastructure technologies, architectures, and processes.
Ensures solutions are secure and aligned to appropriate internal InfoSec standards and market good practices.
Be deeply integrated in the design of infrastructure application environments, assisting in alignment across all business units.

Required skills

Experience deploying Azure IaaS and Azure PaaS into production environments.
Good hands-on knowledge and use Azure DevOps and Azure Administration
Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell or PowerScript
Experience in developing and administering CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and tools such as Git
Significant experience with Windows operating system environment
Demonstrate solid business and organizational skills, and leadership in the use of cloud technologies.
