About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, entrepreneurial Technical Sales Manager to lead and expand our European commercial presence. This role requires owning key accounts, developing new business, and driving technical–commercial projects with major fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, and wellness clients.
What you will do
Account Management & Growth: Manage and grow strategic European accounts; deliver service excellence (quotes & standard documentation ≤48h); provide monthly revenue forecasts and pipeline updates.
Business Development: Identify and convert new business opportunities; develop a robust pipeline with stage-gating (prospection → sample → evaluation → project → PO).
Technical–Commercial Leadership: Lead technical discussions; translate customer briefs into actionable internal projects; coordinate with Supply, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, Finance to ensure feasibility, compliance, and timely delivery.
Client Relationship & Education: Build long-term, relationship-first partnerships; educate customers on lead times and supply realities; position sustainable sourcing as a clear differentiator and source of value creation.
External Representation: Represent the company at international trade shows, industry forums, and client events, strengthening visibility and credibility in Europe.
What you bring
Experience: 5+ years in natural ingredients / fragrance / flavor / cosmetics (B2B); experience with raw materials from Africa/India/Asia strongly valued; trading background a plus.
Education: Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Agronomy (or similar); MBA preferred.
Technical Knowledge: Fluency in extraction technologies (steam distillation, CO₂, solvent extraction, molecular distillation, rectification, spray drying); knowledge of fragrance ingredients and REACH/regulatory basics.
Skills & Mindset: Proven account ownership and disciplined sales execution (CRM/ERP hygiene, notes, SLAs); sales hunter with high energy; entrepreneurial, solutions-driven, intercultural communicator; fluent in French and English; curiosity and passion for naturals.
Contract & location
France-based (home office).
Full-time exclusive consulting agreement (preferred) or via an umbrella company arrangement (portage salarial)).
Regular European travel; immersion trips to South-East Asia HQ (2–3 times/year).
Competitive package aligned to the chosen contract structure (base + performance-linked component); full expenses for travel.
