Junior Application Software Engineer, Hybrid, Hertfordshire (near Hitchin)

Junior Application Software Engineer skilled with HTML, CSS, JavaScript required by a leading technology provider supporting major sports and entertainment sectors. In this exciting role you deliver customised front-end software and on-site support within a specialist technical team.

The organisation operates in a complex, delivery-focused sector requiring adaptable, customer facing, detail-oriented staff. This hybrid role includes structured training, career paths and involvement in well known international projects, working closely with both software and project delivery teams.

Responsibilities:

Configure proprietary software using HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React)
Deliver on-site technical support for live operations and client deployments
Use Jira to manage tasks and maintain communication with the wider team
Contribute to product improvement in collaboration with senior engineers

Required:

Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (web responsive)
Experience working with front-end tools and libraries such as React and Bootstrap
Working knowledge of jQuery, Bootstrap, and MySQL
Direct client-facing experience in a technical setting
Valid passport, driving license and a willingness to travel domestically and internationally to work onsite at major sporting and entertainment events

Desirable:

Familiarity with React.js or another modern JavaScript framework such as Vue, Nuxt, Next, or Angular
Basic understanding of AWS and IoT
Knowledge of JSON for configuration or data-handling tasks
