The Vice President of Business Unit IT leads all technology functions for a designated business unit within a decentralized IT model. This executive role ensures technology strategy, execution, and governance fully align with the business unit’s objectives while maintaining compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute IT strategies that directly support the business unit’s operational and strategic goals.
Align technology initiatives with broader corporate governance, security standards, and enterprise architecture.
Oversee application development, infrastructure, and IT support services for the business unit.
Lead budgeting, financial planning, and cost-optimization efforts across IT operations.
Ensure cybersecurity readiness, compliance, and risk management for all business-unit systems.
Partner with corporate IT and cross-functional leaders to maintain interoperability, shared standards, and seamless integration.
Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.
Provide regular reporting on IT performance, strategic initiatives, and business impact to both business unit leadership and corporate executives.
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, operational excellence, and project execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
10+ years of IT leadership experience, including 5+ years leading decentralized or federated IT functions.
Experience within a publicly traded company is strongly preferred.
Deep knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, compliance, and risk-management frameworks.
Demonstrated success managing IT budgets and delivering complex, enterprise-level technology initiatives.
Requires up to 75% travel the first year
