Software Engineer – R&D / Proof of Concept Development (.NET / Azure)

Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Open to Charlotte, NC candidates (1 day/month onsite)

We’re hiring a backend-focused Software Engineer to join a small, high-impact R&D team working on proof of concept development, internal tools, and AI-driven solutions. This is not traditional sprint-based application development — the work is innovation-heavy, exploratory, and problem-focused.

You’ll work closely with leadership and business stakeholders to identify real challenges and rapidly build solutions that support internal systems and decision-making.

What You’ll Be Working On

Building proof of concepts to solve complex internal business problems
Developing internal applications, tooling, and AI agents
Partnering with IT, Finance, and other teams to understand problems and turn them into working solutions
Experimenting with modern technologies and approaches in an R&D-style environment
Writing clean, scalable backend code with a focus on quality and innovation

Tech Stack

C#, .NET, .NET Core
Microsoft Azure (required)
SQL Server
AI/ML exposure — Semantic Kernel preferred, or similar AI frameworks
No front-end experience required

What We’re Looking For

Strong backend experience with C#/.NET
Hands-on POC or experimental development experience
Exposure to AI agents or applied AI solutions
Experience working in Azure environments
Strong communication skills and comfort working cross-functionally
High energy, curious, and genuinely excited about building new things
Preference for candidates with stable tenure (not job-hoppy)

Interview Process
