Description

A global financial institution is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support and enhance a strategic analytics platform. This role blends hands-on Java development, Big Data engineering, and operational support to strengthen a high-visibility technology environment.

The position focuses on delivering enhancements, supporting business-critical processes, and contributing to a long-term modernization effort that includes large-scale data processing and microservice-based architecture.

What You’ll Tackle

• Develop and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications

• Build and support distributed data pipelines and Big Data workloads

• Contribute to new capabilities, technical direction, and solution design

• Deliver business and technology enhancements based on evolving requirements

• Support L3 production issues and non-production environments

• Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement

• Improve operational reliability and automation

What You Bring

• 8+ years of Java development with Spring Boot and microservices

• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, HBase, or similar large-scale data tools

• Hands-on CI/CD experience (Maven, Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Nexus)

• Strong understanding of REST services and multithreaded systems

• Background in BAU/L3 support and audit-driven remediation

• Ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate across teams

• Clear and concise communication style

• Exposure to Azure cloud services or Databricks

• Experience with front-end frameworks (React/Angular)

• Python scripting

• Familiarity with Delta Lake or modern data-lake patterns
