About the Role

As a Software Engineer Intern rounding off your studies, you’ll own core services that power our forecasting platform. You’ll build and maintain high-performance APIs, architect scalable and efficient database solutions, and work closely with the teams to deliver end-to-end features.

What You’ll Do

API Development: Design, implement, and optimize RESTful services using FastAPI and SQLAlchemy
Data Modeling & Persistence: Architect and maintain schemas in PostgreSQL, ensuring scalability and data integrity
Collaboration: Partner with data science to supply clean, reliable data feeds; collaborate with frontend on integration points
Testing & CI/CD: Write unit and integration tests, contribute to continuous integration pipelines, and enforce best practices
Performance Tuning: Profile and optimize database queries and backend endpoints for low latency and high throughput

We Expect You To Have

Solid experience with PostgreSQL: schema design, indexing, query optimization
Proven skills in Python backend frameworks, especially FastAPI
Strong understanding of REST principles and API design
Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Previous experience in using Docker into a production environment

Nice to Have

Frontend experience with React, enabling full-stack feature development
Exposure to AWS services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3) and infrastructure as code
Experience using Kubernetes
