We are recruiting an experienced Cloud Center Lead for an international client.
In this role, you take full ownership of our client’s cloud platform. You set the direction, steer partners, and ensure the cloud environment remains stable, secure, and future-ready on a global scale.
You combine strategic oversight with strong technical understanding, while keeping day-to-day operations under control.
Cloud Strategy, Governance & Ownership
Define and safeguard the strategic direction of the cloud platform (Azure).
Ensure architecture, standards, and services remain scalable, secure, and compliant.
Own the full solution lifecycle, making clear choices and setting priorities.
Cloud Center of Excellence Leadership & Agile Execution
Lead the Cloud Center of Excellence with a coaching, servant-leadership mindset.
Build a strong, collaborative team focused on quality, continuous improvement, and real outcomes.
Work in an agile way, ensuring the team consistently delivers value to the business.
Vendor & Partner Management
Act as the single point of accountability for:
the Cloud Managed Service Partner
Microsoft as the cloud vendor
Closely monitor SLAs, contracts, and invoicing.
Support contract negotiations and the introduction of new cloud services.
Take the lead in escalations, working with internal teams and partners to resolve issues quickly and structurally.
Act as Cloud Ambassador across the organization.
Help teams adopt cloud capabilities in a controlled and effective way.
Support the creation and maintenance of documentation and training materials.
Collaborate closely with IAM, Network, Security, and Communication teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
IT Service Management
Ensure correct application of ITSM processes, including:
Incident & Request
Change & Problem
Event & Monitoring
Knowledge Management
CMDB
Make sure governance enables progress rather than slowing it down.
Skills :
Proven experience in vendor management and overseeing Managed Service Providers for critical infrastructure.
Solid foundational to advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure and architecture: IaaS, PaaS, serverless
You understand cloud both technically and from an organizational and strategic perspective.
A track record of leading technical teams in complex environments.
Hands-on experience with large-scale cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
Familiarity with ITIL is a strong asset.
You bring structure to ambiguity and stay calm in complex situations.
You think long-term while keeping execution practical.
You enjoy developing people and building strong teams.
You translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
You have a strong learning mindset and continuously look for better ways of working.
You communicate clearly and confidently in English, Dutch is nice to have
