Job Specifications

Requirements: Montreal-based – mandatory (there is a need to work from client site 4 days a week);

French proficiency – preferred but not mandatory.

Project Scope: AIX to AWS migration; scope will include discovery, planning, refactoring and testing, within 12 week period; with possibility of extension.

Skills required:

- WebSphere/Tomcat/Apache migration

- Java EE/Jakarta EE expertise

- Refactoring for cloud-native/containerization

- Remove WebSphere dependencies

- Hands-on expertise with SpringBoot

- Hands-on expertise with Open Liberty (Admin+deploying)

- Externalizing configsd

- Automated testing (JUnit, integration)

start date: mid January (12th or 19th)

- must have proven experience working with AWS;

- should be self-sufficient, proactive, and able to take ownership of tasks;

- “startup mindset”: strong commitment to success, adaptability, and urgency. Delays are not an option—we aim to deliver ahead of schedule if possible;

- be upfront: raise issues immediately and never wait for someone else to fix them.
