The role

Salesfire is looking for a talented and detail-oriented Back End Engineer to join our team as we continue to expand our SaaS platform. With a growing customer base and a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and performance, you will play a key role in shaping the systems that power over 5,000 eCommerce sites. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

What experience levels is this role open to?

This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including:

Mid-level
Senior
Lead

The part you’ll play

Build new features into the Salesfire platform.
Write server-side code, create robust high-volume production applications.
Ensure the reliability of systems critical to Salesfire customers.
Practice disciplined software engineering (e.g. code reviews, writing clean and pragmatic code)
Contribute to the back end coding standards.

The skills you’ll need

Proficient in Object Oriented PHP or other back-end languages.
Experience with frameworks (we use Laravel and Lumen).
Strong understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability.
Experience with NodeJS is beneficial.
Knowledge of the latest SaaS technologies.
A strong understanding of, and practical experience with, web application development.
A sincere commitment to crafting readable and reliable code.
