Digital Business Analyst - Accounts, Reporting & Transactions
Mission Context
The mission of the Digital Business Analyst is to drive the development and optimization of digital channels for corporate banking customers and users, by aligning business objectives with digital strategies. This involves analyzing business needs, identifying digital solutions, ensuring delivery aligns with business goals, and enhancing the user experience across banking channels.
In this role, we seek an experienced professional to strengthen the Accounts, Reporting & Transactions team. Several years in the financial services sector and familiarity with regulation-driven roadmaps are advantageous. Success requires thriving in environments with multiple touchpoints and alignments, plus a strong data-driven mindset.
Function Description
The Digital Business Analyst:
Handles requirements gathering & analysis to deeply understand business needs and pain points.
Manages stakeholder engagement for projects in scope, ensuring alignment on progress, timelines, and objectives.
Identifies effective, achievable solutions for business needs, providing support and expertise during digital solution delivery.
Supports testing with business requirement clarifications, creates presentation materials for change management, and leads incident closures with Functional Analysts and developers.
Collaborates closely with Channel Manager, Marketing/Product management, and Process team to align digital solutions with overall strategy and objectives for banking channels.
Leads specific studies in the scope, including documentation for Management Teams, Initiative Boards, and Product Boards, plus mock-ups, concept designs, and MVP definitions.
In project mode, collects, analyzes, and translates business requirements into detailed specifications for IT, using a user-centric, collaborative, and agile approach.
Language Requirements
English proficiency is required, complemented by excellent knowledge of at least Dutch or French and decent working proficiency in the other.
Education
Master’s degree.
Certification
Certifications in Business Analysis, workshop facilitation, innovation, design thinking, etc., are a plus.
Travel
Limited international travel. Limited travel within Belgium.
Telework
50% on-site & 50% homeworking.
Required Experience / Knowledge
5 years of relevant work experience.
Technical Experience
Mandatory
Requirements gathering & analysis, including documentation, OKR definition, Customer Journey Mapping, and User Story slicing.
BPMN.
Data analysis using Excel, Business Objects, or other market-leading tools.
Stakeholder engagement, including mapping, active listening, and communication skills (written & presentation).
Project management skills, including agile methodologies.
Problem-solving & critical thinking (e.g., cost/benefit analysis, root cause analysis, SWOT analysis).
Experience on digital transformation projects in a consulting/client-facing environment.
Use of collaborative tools like digital whiteboards and SharePoint.
Understanding of delivery frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2/PMP/Agile-Scrum).
Business Experience
Mandatory
Ability to run productive meetings, collaborate, and facilitate workshops.
Extensive experience on digital transformation projects in consulting/client-facing environments.
Experience managing digital projects (planning, execution, monitoring, closing) to meet objectives and deadlines.
Preferable
Experience with Concept Design, UX testing, and innovation.
