The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a Senior Analyst, Vendor Management (12 month contract) to play a key role in overseeing and governing a portfolio of critical third-party vendor relationships across the organization. This role sits within a centralized vendor management function and acts as a subject matter expert, supporting multiple business lines to ensure vendors are managed consistently, effectively, and in line with regulatory and internal requirements.
As part of an integrated and growing organization, this role will take on an expanding portfolio of Tier 1 and other centralized vendors (e.g., OSFI B10 Material Vendors, Staples, Iron Mountain, mail and courier services). The Senior Analyst will work closely with internal relationship owners and external partners, ensuring strong vendor performance, compliance, and value realization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Manage a portfolio of vendor relationships, including OSFI B10 Material Vendors, to drive service excellence, mitigate third-party risk, and maximize value for money
Act as a governance partner alongside internal teams that own vendor relationships
Perform ongoing vendor governance activities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
Track, monitor, and evaluate vendor performance against contractual service levels and KPIs
Prepare and deliver clear, insightful performance reporting and recommend corrective actions where required
Coordinate and lead cross-functional vendor review meetings, including development of presentation materials for senior stakeholders
Serve as the primary escalation point for vendor-related issues and incidents
Interpret and manage contractual terms and obligations to support effective vendor oversight
Identify and lead cost savings and process improvement initiatives
Perform reconciliation and verification of vendor invoices
Enhance vendor oversight processes and identify best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Ensure corporate and regulatory requirements are met by facilitating documentation, reviews, and updates to internal policies and procedures
Update and maintain operational procedures related to vendor management
Forecast and manage Mastercard inventory and other collateral in line with business needs and cost optimization
Support additional initiatives and duties as assigned
What You’ll Need To Be Successful:
Bachelor’s degree, or 4–5 years of relevant experience in vendor management, operations, or a related field
Strong ability to analyze contracts, documentation, and data to identify risks and establish appropriate controls
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business partners, senior leaders, and external vendors
Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across multiple internal and external stakeholders
Experience managing conflict and operating effectively under pressure
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
Comfortable working independently in a structured, governance-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
