Job Specifications

Maintain and evolve the CI/CD pipeline for the a digital justice platform, coordinating road fines and judicial digitalization processes. You will optimize tooling for logging, performance monitoring, and vendor independence while ensuring high application uptime.

We are looking for a Senior IT Infrastructure Architect to work with enterprise architects and development teams on enhancing the technical architecture and CI/CD automation for a critical public sector platform.

You maintain and evolve the existing CI/CD pipeline, implementing additional tools for incident logging and performance measurement.
You make the current infrastructure more vendor-independent, reducing lock-in and increasing flexibility.
You design, define, document, and implement the global technical ICT architecture for systems and applications in response to functional needs.
You actively assist internal ICT managers in defining and developing technical standards for cloud ICT, considering security, performance, flexibility, and technological scalability.
You monitor incidents with development teams and optimize application uptime.
You write the technical sections of business analyses when system or application architecture aspects are involved.
You evaluate technical proposals for cloud ICT systems and applications, particularly modern and efficient CI/CD pipelines.
You provide quotes, schedules, analyses, and proposals for quality, efficiency, and CI/CD pipeline management improvements.
You establish work planning and monitor planning, quality, performance, specification compliance, and testing requirements.

What are we looking for?

You have 5+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect in a public sector IT environment, ideally Belgian Federal Public Service (SPF) Justice.
You have deep expertise in automated CI/CD pipelines.
You have confirmed experience with Azure (PaaS/IaaS) and Azure Active Directory.
You have confirmed experience with RedHat, VMWare, and nginx.
You have confirmed experience with Rancher and Kubernetes orchestration.
You have confirmed experience with GIT version control.
You have confirmed experience with Elastic and Grafana for logging and monitoring.
You have MCSA and MCTS Windows Server certifications or equivalent experience.
You have worked in sensitive contexts requiring security clearance (Secret level or similar from ANS, Federal Police, NATO, or European institutions).
You are fluent in French, Dutch, and English (active knowledge in all three required).

Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management
Experience with Helm for Kubernetes package management
Experience with Istio service mesh
Experience with Jaeger for distributed tracing
Experience with Kubespray for Kubernetes deployment
Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL frameworks
Experience in Belgian public sector IT environments
