Job Specifications

Our Burnaby, BC based client is seeking Guidewire Testers for Policy & Billing Center for a 12-month contract opportunity. The contract would commence in February 2026 and run through February 2027 with a possibility of further renewal. They are hiring for 4 positions in total. This is a hybrid role based out of Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site Tues, Wed, Thurs / 2 remote days Monday and Friday)

Scope of Duties

Test Planning & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various Guidewire modules and their integrations. This includes functional, regression, integration, end-to-end (E2E), and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, identify system defects or bottlenecks, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and operations teams, to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, test scripts, execution results, and summaries.
Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium and Java, and integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
Defect Tracking: Utilize defect management tools such as JIRA, ALM, or Azure DevOps to track testing progress and report on QA outcomes.

Required Qualifications And Skills

Experience: A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, with several years specifically in Guidewire testing.
Guidewire Expertise: Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter, and BillingCenter.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium/Java, Cucumber), API testing, SQL, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance industry standards, regulations, and workflows (e.g., policy lifecycle, claims validation).
Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a detail-oriented focus on quality and accuracy.
Education/Certifications: A Bachelor's degree
