Job title: SCADA Engineer Role Summary: Engineer the design, configuration, testing, and support of SCADA systems for transmission substations (12 kV–500 kV) and generation facilities. Deliver complete SCADA design packages, perform field and lab validation, and provide technical guidance for multidisciplinary capital projects. Expectations: - Serve as Professional of Record, signing all engineering deliverables. - Work on a hybrid schedule with regular office presence. - Maintain compliance with engineering standards (EGBC, NERC) and project quality, cost, and schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Design, configure, test, and troubleshoot SCADA systems, including GE RTUs (D400, D20, D200, D25, IBOX). - Develop design packages, device point assignments, specifications, test plans, and cost estimates. - Configure and program RTUs, gateways, HMIs, switches/routers, and IEDs. - Prepare engineering reports, calculations, proposals, hazard logs, and procurement documents. - Support installation, testing, commissioning, and EGBC field reviews. - Conduct lab validation and pre‑commissioning tests. - Provide technical leadership and mentor junior staff. - Review designs for compliance and quality assurance. - Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve engineering challenges.
