Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire QA Lead to lead end-to-end data validation and quality assurance efforts across Guidewire platforms. This role will be responsible for validating data consistency and accuracy between Guidewire Aurora databases and SQL Server databases across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter modules.

The ideal candidate brings strong QA leadership experience, deep Guidewire data knowledge, and hands-on expertise with database validation and testing frameworks in enterprise insurance environments.

Key Responsibilities

QA Strategy, Planning & Coordination

Define and lead the overall QA and data validation strategy for cross-database comparisons supporting Guidewire applications.
Develop and maintain test plans, test scenarios, entry/exit criteria, and effort estimates.
Assign and oversee work for junior QA or ETL testers, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
Coordinate closely with development, data engineering, and functional QA teams.
Lead daily stand-ups, status reporting, defect reviews, and triage sessions.

Technical & Data Validation Responsibilities

Develop a strong understanding of Guidewire data models across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
Analyze and compare schemas between Aurora databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and SQL Server environments.
Design and execute automated or semi-automated data comparison approaches, including:
SQL-based queries
Row and record counts
Checksum and column-level comparisons
Validate ETL or replication processes, including:
Record completeness and accuracy
Primary and foreign key integrity
Data type alignment and transformations
Referential integrity across systems
Perform root cause analysis on data discrepancies and collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues.
Validate entity and column mappings across Guidewire modules and downstream systems.

Quality Governance & Reporting

Enforce QA best practices for data testing and script validation.
Ensure proper documentation of data mismatches, reconciliation results, and audit logs.
Review and approve data validation results and provide final QA sign-off for each Guidewire module.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding risks, defects, and resolution status.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3–5 years in a QA Lead role.
Strong hands-on experience testing Guidewire applications, including BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, and/or ClaimCenter.
Proven expertise in database testing and data validation using SQL.
Experience validating data across cloud-based and on-premise databases.
Strong understanding of insurance data and P&C business processes.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Excellent communication, leadership, and documentation skills.
