NorthWind Land Resources Inc. is an environmental consulting firm with offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Peace River and Athabasca and a field office in Edson, Alberta. QUALIFICATIONS:

Student in Environmental, Natural or Soil Sciences Diploma or Degree program (must return to school in the fall)
Understanding of Phase 1, 2 and 3 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA)
Working knowledge of Alberta Environment Criteria and Guidelines
Experience with Wetland Assessment is considered an asset
Experience in Upstream Oil and Gas remediation and reclamation is an asset
Experience with weed control considered an asset
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Available to travel throughout Alberta
Valid Alberta driver’s license

JOB DUTIES:

Preparation of technical reports including borehole logs, data tables and figures
Soil and water sampling
Environmental monitoring of subsurface conditions
Conducting site investigations and remediation programs such as drilling and excavation projects
Field work throughout Alberta though there may be some exclusively office based positions available depending on the workload
