About The Role
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has appropriate Global Procurement experience, to meet the needs of the key responsibilities, working within a fast-paced environment, ideally from within a digitally mature industry or heavy presence online retailer.
The individual will support global marketing sourcing and cost reduction across key categories.
Key categories where they could have experience could cover across Global Marketing include but are not limited to; Digital/Performance Marketing, Media, PR, Events, Creative & Design. Also, areas like Visual Merchandising/POS Materials, Professional/Corporate Services would also be of interest.
Taking a lead role in sourcing preferred global supplier network, managing supplier performance meetings, plus monitoring and expediting performance improvements.
The expectation is that the candidate will lead cost saving initiatives in partnership with our marketing stakeholders and lead on new strategic projects with both global and regional teams.
There may also be some project management of a number of ad-hoc support projects within the role that will not necessarily fall directly in this category.
As a Global Category Manager - Indirects you will
Spend Mapping analysis of all relevant Indirect Category spends to provide recommendations on cost saving opportunities.
Category Manager could manage the following categories; Digital/Performance Marketing, Media, PR, Events, Creative & Design, Visual Merchandising/POS Materials, Professional/Corporate Services
Formulate category specific strategies for significant areas
Negotiate contracts and liaise with internal teams throughout procurement process
Work closely with marketing, finance and legal teams to align procurement activities and business objectives
Ensure compliance with procurement policy, ethical standards and legal regulations
Managing ESG initiatives with suppliers, including Ecovadis audit and improvement actions
Project managing global ways of working across internal teams
Streamlining and improving current ways of working
Management and updating of contract database including mapping renewal dates
Ad-hoc invoice reconciliation management versus rate cards
Work strategically to build network of stakeholders internally and externally
Provide full end to end process of RFI/RFPs, including collation of responses and score carding with appropriate analysis provided
Organising QBR supplier reviews across key strategic suppliers, including annual meeting plans. Responsible for chasing through improvement actions and KPI management.
Rebate management tracking and regular liaison with finance team to ensure accurate accruals and ready availability of audit information
Take ownership of cost initiative projects as part of their personal development plan, and in accordance with Procurement Director expected annual savings targets
Set up and deliver ongoing supplier credit monitoring and record feedback on any critical profile changes, using D&B tracker system
Keep up to date with market trends, new technologies and innovation and construct regular market reviews
About You
Deep knowledge of marketing category, relevant supplier capabilities and competitor activity
Previous global marketing procurement experience within digitally mature industry or Cosmetic/Personal care online retailer
Previous negotiation experience in Marketing procurement
Proven project management experience track record - a must have
Strong operational stakeholder relationship development and management
Must be strong in data analysis, and have excel analytical expertise, including VLOOKUP's, nested ‘if' statements, pivot tables filters etc.
